Letting Go is the Key

4/1/2019

What hurts worst?
Pushing through the pain and doing the inner work to get to your peace, happiness and wholeness or staying with the pain and feeling defeated ?

I wasted so much time with the latter.

For every painful experience in my life that l had to face courageously and purposed to conquer,
I had to ask myself this question.
It’s difficult forgetting about the past, the failures and setbacks especially if you cannot see anything different in the present nor in your foreseeable future.

Perhaps your pain was caused by someone and that person is now deceased, or they moved away or they are just incapable of expressing sincere remorse and taking ownership for their behavior.  Maybe you made a poor choice in a relationship or a bad financial decision, what do you do?

For years l carried the pain, hurt and anger of being molested by family members.  I didn’t realize how it was negatively affecting every area of my life.  I couldn’t manage money, nor did l want to manage it because l used it to bandage my hurt feelings to cover my broken places with creature comforts. I didn’t know how to connect to healthy relationships.  It seemed that the only place l manifested any stability was in was my career.

To be totally transparent, I’m not exactly sure when l decided to let go of the the past and start the forgiveness process,
just got sick and tired of being sick and tired, that within itself has been a process. There are still times when past memories wash over my soul like a waterfall but that’s when l remember l am free and that they can’t hurt me anymore. That I can be kind to me and love me and to forgive myself for taking so long to let go.
Sometimes the pain is so familiar and we’ve learned how to navigate through daily life that the thought of something different even when different means better is terrifying.
That’s when the what if’s kick in.  What if l don’t make it, what if l get hurt again, what if l fail?

Here’s the thing, what if you do make it, what if you experience unparalleled joy, something you never anticipated, what if you actually WIN?
The truth is you’ll never know if you don’t let go.

So what do say?
Here’s my hand, join me in this free webinar and let’s let go together.
